ACTIA Group S.A.

ACTIA

ACTIA Group S.A. is a French family-controlled industrial group that designs, manufactures and operates electronic systems for land mobility, aerospace, energy and engineering services. It dates its own foundation to 1986, when it began building test and diagnostic equipment in Toulouse, and it is headquartered at 5 rue Jorge Semprun, B.P. 74215, 31432 Toulouse Cedex 4. The listed parent company was incorporated much earlier, in 1907, traded as Actielec Technologies and took the ACTIA Group name in 2008; the founding family retains control, and the group describes itself as a mid-market company that is both family-owned and international. Listing details in the research file are wrong. ACTIA Group is not quoted on the regulated Euronext Paris market under the ticker ATI: its shares are admitted to Euronext Growth Paris under the mnemonic ALATI and ISIN FR0000076655, and the stock is included in the Euronext Growth All Shares, Euronext Tech Croissance, Euronext Helios Space and GSO25 indices. Revenue is materially lower than the draft states. Consolidated turnover for FY2025 was EUR 535.4 million, stable at +0.1% against EUR 535.1 million in 2024 and in the upper part of the group's own EUR 525-535 million guidance. The figure of about EUR 580 million corresponds to FY2023 (EUR 579.3 million), not to 2025, so the USD 628 million equivalent is also incorrect. Mobility, which covers vehicle electronics, diagnostics and rail, contributed EUR 415.2 million, or about 78% of the total rather than 85%; Aerospace reached EUR 81.7 million (+13.5%), Energy EUR 39.0 million (+31.2%) and Engineering Services EUR 39.3 million. The group employed 3,818 people at 31 December 2025, down 4.4%, and reported a net loss of EUR 5.8 million after the exceptional 2024 gain on the disposal of a software solution and an engineering team to Ampere. Diagnostics sit at both ends of the business. For manufacturers, ACTIA develops embedded control units, vehicle communication interfaces and software across the vehicle lifecycle, while its German unit ACTIA IME supplies interfaces to carmakers; documented customers include Volvo AB, Traton (Scania and MAN), Iveco, CNH Industrial, Alstom and most major Chinese bus builders. In the aftermarket, Multi-Diag provides multi-make diagnostic devices and software for passenger and commercial vehicles, sold to repair networks worldwide, together with fleet management solutions and off-board services covering remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance. The group also works on electric-vehicle battery health: the SOH FLEET project, run through EIT Urban Mobility with KEOLIS, Barcelona's TMB and the CARNET research institute, monitors electric bus battery ageing. Vehicle inspection is no longer part of the group. ACTIA sold its vehicle inspection business in 2022 and disposed of its remaining 60% stake in the Czech subsidiary ATAL in February 2025, so the periodic-inspection test lines described in the research file are historical rather than current. Manufacturing runs through owned electronics plants at Colomiers near Toulouse in France, Tunis in Tunisia, Romulus in Michigan and Elkhart in Indiana in the United States, Linköping in Sweden and a Spanish board plant, with integration, research and design in Shanghai and Wuhan. Claims of more than 2.6 million terminals a year, of Stellantis as a diagnostic customer, of subsidiaries in 16 countries and of sales in 70-plus countries are not supported by the group's own reporting, which states 17 countries, roughly 1,450 R&D engineers and technicians, and 14-18% of revenue reinvested in research. ACTIA is not a Fortune Global 500 company.

Business Nature

ACTIA manufactures and delivers as an integrated electronics producer rather than an assembler. Boards and finished products come from owned plants - Colomiers near Toulouse in France, Tunis in Tunisia with CIPI ACTIA alongside it, Romulus in Michigan and Elkhart in Indiana in the United States, Linköping in Sweden and a Spanish circuit-board plant added in 2023 - while Millau in France serves rail, Sfax in Tunisia serves aerospace and integration workshops in Germany, Spain, China and elsewhere turn boards into vehicle-ready units. Design, hardware and firmware development, software and testing laboratories sit in-house beside those plants under a local-for-local model, so products are industrialised close to the programmes they serve, and the group also provides electronics manufacturing services to third parties. Around the hardware, ACTIA operates the data layer: off-board diagnostics platforms, remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance, over-the-air updates and telemetry and fleet-management services for transport operators. Research absorbs 14-18% of revenue annually with roughly 1,450 engineers and technicians, and the industrial base is certified to IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, with ISO 27001 and TISAX credentials at the entities handling vehicle data.

Industry Rankings

Corporate Report

ACTIA Group S.A. is a family-controlled French electronics group based in Toulouse, founded in 1986 and listed on Euronext Growth Paris under the mnemonic ALATI. It designs and builds embedded vehicle electronics, manufacturer-level and aftermarket diagnostics, and aerospace and energy systems, and reported consolidated turnover of EUR 535.4 million in FY2025. Its VerityRank Score is 81/100.

Industry Position

The group is organised in four divisions, of which Mobility - embedded electronics, vehicle communication interfaces, diagnostics and rail - remains dominant at EUR 415.2 million, or about 78% of FY2025 revenue, against the 85% figure often quoted. Aerospace added EUR 81.7 million (+13.5%) and Energy EUR 39.0 million (+31.2%), while Engineering Services contributed EUR 39.3 million. France accounted for 42.7% of revenue, with 57.3% generated internationally, and the group employed 3,818 people at the end of 2025.

Turnover of EUR 535.4 million corrects the widely copied EUR 580 million figure, which matches FY2023 (EUR 579.3 million). The 2025 result was a net loss of EUR 5.8 million, after the exceptional 2024 proceeds from the disposal of a software solution and an engineering team to Ampere, and after more than EUR 4.6 million of restructuring charges booked during the year.

Competitive Advantages

ACTIA's differentiator is that it sells diagnostics at both ends of the market. For manufacturers it supplies embedded ECUs, power-management electronics and vehicle communication interfaces - its German unit ACTIA IME sells interfaces to carmakers - while the Multi-Diag range covers multi-make diagnostics for passenger and commercial vehicles in the aftermarket. Documented customers include Volvo AB, Traton, Iveco, CNH Industrial, Alstom and most major Chinese bus manufacturers.

Vertical integration supports that position. Circuit boards and finished assemblies come from the group's own plants at Colomiers in France, Tunis in Tunisia, Romulus and Elkhart in the United States, Linköping in Sweden and a Spanish plant, with integration workshops in Germany, Spain, China and elsewhere; all industrial sites are ISO 14001 certified, ACTIA Automotive and ACTIA Telematics Services hold ISO 27001 and ACTIA IME is TISAX certified. Research absorbs 14-18% of revenue each year and roughly 1,450 engineers and technicians work in R&D.

Strategic Expansion

Electrification and connectivity define the growth agenda. In the SOH FLEET project, funded through EIT Urban Mobility and run with KEOLIS, Barcelona operator TMB and research institute CARNET, ACTIA is building a system that monitors the state of health of electric bus batteries and anticipates their ageing - the same battery-analytics capability that high-voltage and EV diagnostics depend on.

Commercially, growth is coming from the Americas and Asia: Mexico grew 40.4% in 2025 on aftermarket supply to bus and coach fleets, China sales rose 5.9%, and ACTIA Technologies Canada was created at the end of 2025 to support rail electronics. The group also launched a High-Performance Computer for agricultural and construction machinery and continues to develop software-defined vehicle architectures. It has exited vehicle inspection entirely, with the business sold in 2022 and the residual 60% of Czech subsidiary ATAL following in February 2025.

Risks & Outlook

The core risk is automotive volume. Mobility sales fell 4.7% in 2025, with light vehicles down 14.5% in Europe; the Tunis plant lost more than 300 positions over two years, Millau 19, and group headcount fell 4.4%. Regulatory timing distorts results as well, because the RED II cybersecurity transition pulled deliveries into the first three quarters of 2025 and depressed early 2026 volumes. Component, energy and wage costs add further pressure on gross margin.

A second set of caveats concerns disclosure. ACTIA does not report the RMB 250 million Chinese contribution attributed to its Shanghai subsidiary, does not disclose the 2.6 million terminals a year often claimed, does not list Stellantis among its diagnostic customers and states 17 countries rather than the 16 or 70-plus of the research file. What is documented is a stable EUR 535.4 million turnover base, four divisions, growing Aerospace and Energy orders and a target of EUR 700 million by 2028, against an automotive cycle that has not yet turned. Weighing that mix, ACTIA reaches a VerityRank Score of 81/100.
