Salesforce
Salesforce, Inc. ranks ninth on the Life & Services Supply Strength Index with 91/100, and it is the purest application-layer business on the page. Every dollar of its FY2026 revenue, US$41.50 billion and 10.0 percent higher than the year before, came from enterprise software and cloud subscriptions, with no hardware, advertising or retail goods to strip out of the base. The 2025 Fortune Global 500 set its admission line at US$32.2 billion, and Salesforce cleared it on its own accounts; the company inherits nothing from any parent because it has none.
Customer relationship management is the franchise. IDC and Gartner have placed Salesforce first in worldwide CRM software share for eleven consecutive years, at 21.7 percent, and more than 150,000 enterprises and institutions run its systems, among them the core sales processes of over 90 percent of the Fortune 500. Subscription and support revenue passed US$38.7 billion and covers Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, MuleSoft, Tableau and Slack.
The economics of that base explain the score. Non-GAAP operating margin reached 34.1 percent, operating cash flow was US$15.00 billion and free cash flow US$14.40 billion. Renewals arrive on a schedule, so product work is funded out of the current year's billings instead of fresh capital. Total remaining performance obligations stood at US$72.40 billion at the close of the fiscal year, 14 percent above the prior year.
Agentforce is the wager that the model survives generative automation. The agent platform and Data 360 together passed US$2.9 billion in annual recurring revenue, signed more than 29,000 commercial agreements, delivered 2.4 billion agentic work units and consumed close to 20 trillion tokens across the platform. Pricing underneath has moved from seats toward resolved tasks, trading predictable per-user billing for volume tied to work actually completed.
Delivery runs on Hyperforce, a control layer built in-house that places workloads in Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure facilities across regions, while owned Salesforce Tower offices in San Francisco, New York, London and Tokyo anchor the physical footprint. Operations reach more than 150 countries and about 73,500 employees. Owned property is modest beside that of a carrier or a retailer; the asset that matters here is the tenancy pattern of the data plane and the contracts that sit on top of it.
Two pressures shape what comes next. Analysts remain divided on how much of the traditional software moat survives agentic automation, and that argument has held the valuation multiple below its earlier peak while corporate technology budgets face line-by-line review that lengthens expansion cycles among smaller customers. Salesforce has answered on two fronts: folding Informatica into the group for more than US$1 billion of annual recurring revenue and buying Waii and Convergence.ai, and returning capital through a US$50 billion buyback authorisation with a higher dividend.
