Tencent Holdings Limited
Tencent
Tencent Holdings ranks eighth on the Life & Services Brand Authority Index and sixth on the Life & Services Supply Strength Index with 94/100. Revenue for 2025 was about US$105.4 billion (RMB 751.80 billion), up 14 percent, with gross profit of RMB 422.6 billion and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 224.8 billion. The company reports those numbers itself and its membership belongs to the reporting entity alone; revenue is more than three times the US$32.2 billion that the 2025 Fortune Global 500 sets as its admission level.
On the consumer table the argument is WeChat. Monthly active accounts across WeChat and Weixin reached 1.418 billion, and the app holds messaging, payments, mini programs, short video, news and games inside one interface. Weixin Pay processes more than a billion commercial transactions a day. Mini programs generated gross merchandise value above RMB 8 trillion in the year with more than 4.3 million active programs. Value-added services, which covers games and social networks, contributed RMB 369.3 billion of revenue.
Brand strength is measurable here in a way it rarely is. WeChat was named the world's strongest brand for a second year in the Brand Finance 2025 report, scoring 95.2 out of 100 with a AAA+ rating, and the group's own brand heat score of 97.0 is the highest on the brand table. Marketing services revenue rose 19 percent to RMB 145.0 billion as video accounts and search inventory monetised, which shows advertisers paying for attention inside a closed social graph.
The supply table reads the same company through its enterprise businesses. Fintech and business services revenue reached RMB 229.4 billion, up 8 percent, covering commercial payment settlement, wealth products and Tencent Cloud; with marketing services added, category services total RMB 374.4 billion, or 49.8 percent of group revenue. WeCom connects more than ten million enterprise organisations to their customers on WeChat, Tencent Cloud leads in audio and video, financial private cloud and game infrastructure, and the cloud runs in more than 30 regions.
The physical base behind those services is large. Tencent operates million-server green computing campuses at Gui'an, Qingyuan, Shanghai and Tianjin, a high-performance AI network called Xingmai, home-designed Star Lake servers and more than 2,800 content delivery nodes worldwide. The Hunyuan model is embedded in search, the Yuanbao assistant and collaboration tools. Group employment is 115,849 and products reach more than 120 countries and regions.
Two exposures stand out. QQ monthly users on mobile fell to 508 million as younger users moved to other communities, which matters more for the long-term reach of the social franchise than for current revenue. Overseas games and cloud operations face tightening data and competition rules in several jurisdictions, and domestic consumption has recovered only gradually, which caps payment ticket sizes and take rates. Tencent raised its final dividend to HK$5.30 a share, up 17.8 percent, and bought back tens of billions of Hong Kong dollars of stock. Mini Shop gross merchandise value grew 4.3 times, the clearest sign that commerce inside WeChat is still expanding.
