Material events trigger immediate, off-cycle ranking adjustments irrespective of the quarterly calendar. Significant M&A transactions represent the most common trigger—when Parker Hannifin announced its $9.25 billion acquisition of Filtration Group in November 2025, the combined entity's manufacturing footprint, product portfolio breadth, and aftermarket revenue profile were immediately re-evaluated on a pro-forma basis. Similarly, Alfa Laval's completion of the Fives Cryogenics acquisition, Flowserve's $490 million Trillium TVD purchase, and Xylem's integration of Evoqua all triggered intra-quarter ranking reassessments.
